Assistant Venue Manager

Job Title: Assistant Manager - Pool Cafe

Location: Maroubra, New South Wales, Australia

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Assistant Manager to join our team at the Pool Cafe in Maroubra. As the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the cafe and ensuring high levels of customer service.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Manager in managing the cafe operations, including ordering supplies, scheduling staff, and maintaining inventory levels

Ensure the cafe is running smoothly and efficiently during opening hours

Provide excellent customer service and ensure that all customers are satisfied with their experience

Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner

Train and supervise staff, ensuring they are aware of company policies and procedures, and that they are providing quality service to customers

Ensure that all food and drinks are prepared to the highest quality standards and in compliance with health and safety regulations

Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote the cafe

Monitor and maintain a safe and clean working environment

Assist with financial management, including monitoring expenses and revenue, and reporting to the Manager

Collaborate with the Manager to implement new initiatives and improve existing operations.

Requirements:

Proven experience as an Assistant Manager in a similar environment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organizational and leadership skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Sound knowledge of food and beverage operations

Understanding of financial management and reporting

Relevant qualifications in hospitality or business management is highly desirable

Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
