The Toxteth Hotel is seeking a Bottle Shop Manager to lead our bottle shop operations and drive business growth. As the Bottle Shop Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in managing inventory, leading a team, and delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and managing stock levels.
Monitor product expiration dates and ensure a diverse selection of products is available.
Sales and Customer Service:
Lead by example in providing exceptional customer service and sales assistance to patrons.
Drive sales through effective merchandising, promotions, and upselling techniques.
Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor bottle shop staff, fostering a positive and motivated team culture.
Conduct regular team meetings, set performance goals, and provide training.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage budgets, analyze sales trends, and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Monitor profit margins and implement cost-effective purchasing practices.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and licensing requirements related to alcohol sales.
Implement age verification procedures and maintain responsible service practices.
Vendor Relationships:
Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and distributors.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional deals to maximize profitability.
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate reports on sales, inventory, and financial performance for management review.
Use data to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the alcohol retail or hospitality industry.
Strong sales and customer service skills with a focus on creating positive customer experiences.
Leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing and motivating a team.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of liquor laws, regulations, and responsible service practices.
Financial acumen and the ability to analyze sales data and manage budgets.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
