.Are you a visionary culinary leader with a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences? The Toxteth Hotel is seeking a Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and drive culinary innovation. As the Head Chef, you'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, menu development, and maintaining high culinary standards.
Responsibilities:
Culinary Leadership:
Lead, inspire, and mentor the kitchen team to consistently deliver high-quality dishes.
Create an environment that encourages creativity, teamwork, and professional growth.
Menu Development:
Design and develop innovative menus that align with customer preferences and culinary trends.
Collaborate with suppliers to source the finest and freshest ingredients.
Culinary Execution:
Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes to maintain consistency and quality.
Ensure that taste, portion size, and plating techniques meet the venue's standards.
Quality Control:
Taste and evaluate dishes regularly to uphold taste, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
Implement corrective measures as needed to maintain culinary excellence.
Kitchen Operations:
Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, cost control, and waste reduction.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
Hygiene and Safety:
Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a sanitary kitchen.
Implement and enforce proper sanitation practices and kitchen maintenance.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with front-of-house staff and management to ensure smooth service operations.
Communicate effectively with the team to ensure clear understanding of expectations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior culinary role is required.
Culinary degree or relevant culinary certification is highly advantageous.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.

Strong knowledge of different cuisines, cooking techniques, and presentation.
