Responsibilities:
Menu Development:
Create and curate innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients, trends, and guest preferences.
Develop unique and enticing dishes that elevate the dining experience.
Culinary Execution:
Oversee the preparation and presentation of all dishes, ensuring high standards of taste, quality, and visual appeal.
Lead by example in maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
Kitchen Management:
Manage kitchen operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
Foster a positive and productive work environment among kitchen staff.
Quality Control:
Implement and maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with regulations.
Conduct regular quality checks and ensure adherence to recipes and plating techniques.
Supplier Relationships:
Manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely and quality deliveries of ingredients.
Collaborate with suppliers to source premium and fresh ingredients.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and motivate the kitchen team to achieve excellence in culinary output.
Provide guidance and support in skill development and career growth.
Creativity and Innovation:
Stay updated with culinary trends, experimenting with new techniques and ingredients.
Contribute to the creation of seasonal and special event menus.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary role.
Culinary degree or relevant culinary certification is preferred.
Strong understanding of various cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and international cuisines.
Creative flair and the ability to design imaginative and visually appealing dishes.
Leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a kitchen team.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen management best practices.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
