Responsibilities:
Assistance in Food Preparation:
Assist the kitchen team in preparing and organizing ingredients for dishes.
Ensure timely delivery of prepared ingredients to the chefs during service.
Kitchen Cleanliness:
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following health and safety standards.
Wash and sanitize kitchen utensils, equipment, and dishes.
Inventory Control:
Assist in monitoring food inventory levels and informing senior staff when supplies are low.
Assist in restocking ingredients and supplies as needed.
Support During Service:
Assist the kitchen team during service by ensuring that all necessary items are readily available.
Aid in plating dishes and ensuring they are presented according to the venue's standards.
Adherence to Standards:
Follow established food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe and clean kitchen environment.
Uphold the venue's standards for quality and presentation of dishes.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is advantageous but not required.
Enthusiasm to learn and a strong interest in pursuing a career in the hotel industry.
Attention to detail and a willingness to follow instructions.
Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, cleaning, and standing for extended periods.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
